I know you weren't talking about my form of lights.

I've never seen them but I wonder if they suppose to be meteors.

I believe (according to your pictures) that it is some sort of glitch, nothing to worry about. I sometime get things like that going through my town .

I think it's the jet trails effect that can be found in CAW.

I would say Jet Trails too they look like that at night when lit by the moon in real life

I don't know about higher lvls but i know with photography it naturally gives my sims all sorts of weird things getting into the way of my photos, They normally give off the gnomes or a finger even blurring but never any sort of purple light ball like that.

I thought I saw a meteor approaching once (I've had Ambitions pretty much since it came out and STILL haven't experienced a meteor strike...), there was a big ball of light with a transparent light trail behind it. Turns out my game was paused and, because I optioned to have a short draw distance, it was just the lighthouse. The light house hadn't come in to focus but the light from it was...
