Help - why is this room unfinished?

The hallway on the first floor of my sims' house gives the sims a negative "unfinished room" moodlet, and I can't figure out why. It isn't a huge problem in the game, but it's bugging me that I can't find the cause.

These two pictures show the floor and all four walls (it's the large room with the stairway, where the child is standing.) The walls are all painted.

And two pictures of the upper level, to show that the whole first floor is covered with a ceiling and that the triangular wall fragments holding the roof are painted on both sides. (Only the one circled in red is directly above one of the hallway walls.)

What am I missing? I genuinely don't know what can cause this moodlet apart from no floor, unpainted walls or no roof.

  • Did you make sure the walls behind the doors are painted(Delete the doors and make sure that piece of wall is painted)

@GraceyManor , yes, the walls behind the doors are definitely painted.

I haven't. I was assuming this moodlet was appearing for a reason. So, if I understand correctly, you think this may be happening for no reason and it may go away if I repaint the floors and walls? Thanks, I will try that the next time I'm in game and post whether it helped!

@lisasc360 , the hallway and the entire floor it's on are covered with floor tiles from above (see the last two screenshots), but I didn't place any tiles from below to "paint" the ceiling.
