Help! Can't log into my launcher

Hello all! I haven't played the sims 3 due to health issues for about a year. I did update origin and did all the game updates. Origin last month had me update my password. I can log into origin and any EA site. But each time I try to log into the sims 3 launcher, It just won't let me.

I did searches on this issue. I deleted cookies and cache for chrome and IE. I did a game repair. I deleted the file in the downloads folder with my email on it. I even renamed my sims folder and generated a new one. I can't log into my launcher, no matter what I do.

I can play without being logged in, but it keeps telling me to buy content that I already have. I don't know what more to do.

Any help? Please!

    Have you tried resetting your password using the email you signed up with? It SHOULD be the same email and password that you login into this site with.

    Edit: Instead of just clearing the cookies on IE, try resetting it.

    IE-> Tools->Internet options->Advanced tab-> Reset
    The launcher will always use IE even if you don't.And sometimes clearing the cookies isn't enough.

    Edit: Also try restarting your computer/laptop

    Edit: And you did make sure to clear IE's cache, not Edge right? two different things there.

    Yeah I did all of that, but thanks! Maybe I should reset my password again?

    Ok I just changed it back to my original password from last year. Now it works. I don't understand why. I deleted all the folders, cleared out caches in chrome and IE, Reset IE, and deleted the file from the downloads folder. Somehow there must be some hidden file that just didn't get cleared out?

    I guess I can never change my password?

    Internet Explorer is the relevant program to clear caches and cookies when the launcher doesn't work.

    I've been having the same problem since I uninstalled and re-installed all of my Sims 3 content and I cleared up the IE cookies but, yes, maybe this wasn't enough. Thanks for these steps, let's hope the problem doesn't persist.
