Help! Getting Error Message!

I just bought a brand new desktop and I spent all afternoon yesterday installing all my EPs and SPs (which is ALL OF THEM). I expected it to work since I am quite sure this system has better specs than my last one and the last one ran Sims 2, 3 and 4 without hesitation.
Except when I went to play it today I got the "Service initialization failed (0x0175d824)" Message.
I literally JUST bought the damn computer so there's no need for a defrag or cleanup or anything... so I uninstalled everything and only installed the base and 70s/80s/90s stuff for the updated patch... and I got the same error message when trying to load that.
I've looked for solutions to this problem and the only advice I'm getting is the defrag/cleanup/etc advice or reinstalling.
Can my computer just not run it?? Have I missed something? I need some serious help. T.I.A.

  • 1 - May I ask what kind of install this is, please? Are we talking about Origin digital, Steam, retail store discs, from some other source (which one) and which patch level are you trying to be on?

2 - Where you have already installed and uninstalled, did you perform a registry cleanup in between? This is practically required as remnants of former installs, even unsuccessful ones, will get in the way of a reinstall. The usual tool to use for that is the free version of Piriform's CCleaner.

3 - From what little we can see of your dxdiag (the rest of it may have been helpful), the game should run but I wouldn't be quite so optimistic about all EPs or on very high settings. You have no dedicated graphics card. Intel HD 630 means integrated graphics, stronger than integrated used to be in years past, but still not the same as a dedicated card of suitable strength. It can be expected to struggle with Pets, Seasons, IP, and ITF, the heavier hitting of the EPs, and you may hit other limitations along the way.
  • @igazor When I first installed, I just used Origin for 3 and ITF, but when I reinstalled I used my disc because it was faster. I didn't do a registry cleanup, so I will uninstall again and try that. I posted the entire txt file on hastebin for you here
  • Looks to me like your Intel HD 630 drivers need to be updated. This may well be a brand new computer, but they are from a year ago. Acer's website would be the best place to check for driver updates by specific model or service tag number.

Also, you are using a television for a monitor or am I reading that wrong?

Paging @phoebebebe13 to correct me if I'm leading you in the wrong direction.
  • @igazor nah you're right, it's an old flatscreen. I have a new monitor on order but it won't be in until next week. I haven;t used a real monitor in years, I can barely remember what it feels like lol
I'll check their site, thank you my friend!

I have tried everything that I've been made aware to and I am still trying to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Usually these errors mean that, despite the registry clean, elements of a prior install remain. What method are you using to clean it?

Have you tried pulling your TS3 user game folder, assuming you still have one or a new one got spawned, out of Documents to the Desktop thus forcing a new one with no content added to spawn and can you get the game started on that?

Also have to ask, since only the beginning of the dxdiag is not going to provide enough info, what are you using for a monitor? "Current Mode: 1842 x 1036 (32 bit) (30Hz)" doesn't look very standard to me.

@igazor I am using CCleaner to clean my registries. I have also attempted to spawn a new user file with no content but that also does not work.

I am using a TV for a monitor as I do not actually own one.

And is this with an HDMI connection? I understand there can be issues with Win 10, the Creators Update, and HDMI but that's about the extent of my knowledge (not much help I know).

Perhaps reeling back some of the Creators Update effects will help.

But if not, hopefully someone else here or on the TS3 Answers HQ board can help further.

The 1060 card needs a resolution of 1080p . 60 hz refresh rate
