Help with Oasis Landing

In Oasis Landing there is Legacy Park, it's designated as a business park.

I would like to make my own, smaller park with some statues in it but cannot find them. When I click on one of the statues in Legacy Park with the eyedropper tool, miscellaneous objects under Community objects pops up but the statues aren't in there. I can't find them under buydebug either.

Does anyone know where these things are?

Thanks

  • Those seems to be hidden, much like the UL Meet & Greet welcome booth and the utopia drooping flowers (which give dew). That means you'll need a mod from them to show up in the buy mode catalog. There are mods available for the booth and the flowers, but I didn't turn one up for the legacy statues.

If you want to pursue this yourself you might be able to clone them with the S3OC (Sims 3 Objects Cloner) available on the simlogical site. I'd think an override instead of a cloned version might be better, but I don't know how to do that with S3OC. The creators/modding forum at MTS might be able to help you out. I'm not aware of any S3OC tutorials unfortunately. My experience with that program is rather limited.
  • Thanks Trey. I thought it might have something to do with the lot designation but that doesn’t appear to make a difference. I have however found the spawner for the Utopia flowers in buydebug a while ago and got those to work. I guess I will have to keep the larger park.
  • I was wondering if you could use a klepto sim to steal the statues you want. You could then buy a smaller community lot, place the statues, and sell the lot again if you want. I guess if you saved the original park (or the new one) to your library, you'd be able to place it again and take the statues as many times as you like.
  • Hi @nickbitsward :) There is a way if you use or are open to using a mod at least temporarily. Using the Nraas Debug Enabler mod you can send a sim around collecting just about anything by clicking on an object, debug enabler, options (name of item selected) and choose 'add to family inventory'. Then use that sim to build your park as residential to start, move the sim out then change the lot assignment.

You will find that the statues are sims sculpturified in brass and separate from their base, you'll need both parts. Cloning a statue yields an interesting result.
  • Hi puzzleaddict and Jessa. I will try a klepto sim and the mod, maybe I can get either hat to work. Surprising something that should be so simple is so frustrating.
