I've yet to put any smaller items on my list simply because I don't feel "ready" to be gifted. I don't think I've been active enough yet in the community to deserve someone's kindness. I think if I have a bunch of small items on my list, it may appear as though I'm fishing for gifts and I DEF don't want to appear that way, ESPECIALLY as a newbie. I'm not sure if that makes any sense whatsoever. :) It sounded good in my head. LOL.

I can understand that but on the other hand gifters gift when they think you are ready :) - two sides to every coin. And when one reads a post they like or see you active in a lot of things and think you deserve a gift its a bit disheartening to check a wishlist that doesn't have some smaller things to get started with.
Since we tell all newbies to break down at least one set so they do have smaller things we can hardly think that you are 'fishing' for gifts. I know I don't look at a wishlist until I have already decided to gift someone and having a set broken down is just what I am looking for with new people, and so are most gifters. We don't surf wishlists we surf people and then check out a wishlist :)
And sometimes it works the other way around. If a person only has big sets on their wishlist gifters wonder if the person is just here to snap up a big gift and won't appreciate smaller gifts. :)
