My sims have had experience with both types of jail. The actual jail that my criminal sim went to, it's just a rabbit hole, or whatever you call it. He has been arrested 3 times, he is level 9 criminal. The funny thing is and this is totally unrelated, but his father in law was in the law enforcement field, so he inherited his police car. He drives to his criminal job in the police car every day...lol!! Anyway...it's not really exciting in jail, but my guy is hoping to make some new friends while there! He is a real regular.
My son in another family disappeared from the family after getting caught after curfew. I was able to get him back, by splitting the family up and then moving them back together.
