How is this even possible?
My sim Angela is a singer, and her husband is a police officer. A gnome appeared in Angela's garden, and when I first saw it, partially hidden by the garden plants, I thought it was the singer gnome....

The only one that will spawn specifically because of plants is the Vampire Gnome if you 3 plasma fruit plants. The other gnome that can appear because of gardens is the Spring bunny Gnome (he can also be triggered by woohoo - he's cute, but a bit...creepy - in a voyeur sort of way).
Gnomes won't help your plants in any way and are usually just as happy to turn on your TV and plant themselves in front of it for the late night movie matinee!
