How To Install Store Items

How does that patch get installed? Is it an update that isnt automatically there? My launcher says Version 1.69.43.024017. It needs to say 2.2?
Also with the mention of the Sandy Shoals Wallpaper, is it ok to install the entire Sandy Shoals then? Or just do the Wallpaper only at that step. I assume because all of its parts are found in other downloads that's why the Wallpaper.. But How do you get the entire Sandy Shoals building if you don't download it?

"I install lots in an empty Sims 3 folder and copy library files to avoid duplicate installs."
But I dont understand how to install just the lot?
