There is no Super Patch for 1.69, as the intent was always to allow Origin to apply the patch.

Some browsers block it because the URL starts with http rather than https, but you can see that it points directly to EA servers, so it's safe.

SimsSyndicate There is a way to bypass the Sims 3 launcher (not the EA App) on a 1.69 install, and you can play offline... but only once you've signed into the EA App while in online mode. So if your base game disc is old enough, your better bet is to uninstall the game and reinstall using only the discs.
If you do need to uninstall the EA App version before reverting to an all-disc install, you'll need to do a clean uninstall, or clean your computer's registry manually, to remove the various registry entries that the EA App would otherwise leave behind during the normal uninstall process.
