How to stop INCEST !!

Well, my sim brother son is attempting to date my sim'ssonvdaughter

Pretty sure this was a bug/glitch with Generations although I thought it had been fixed. Are you up patched up to 1.57? Maybe the family tree is so far extended that the game no longer sees them as true blood relatives? Sorry really not sure with EA standards way of playing.

However, if you are using a Mod it might be a setting. If you are not using a Mod and want it fixed then there are Mods over at Nraas that would help prevent relatives from dating so you could put a stop to it.

That's not really insist, Sims only know so many people. I don't think they count cusins as true bloodline. Even if your family tree is huge.

In some countries marrying and have kids with your cusins unless they are your 5th cusin is bad genetic practice for your family tree. Insist is more about marrying in the purity of your bloodline, for example daughter marries sister of blood line relative, however, daughter marrying cusin is not really insist just bad behavior for enriching the gene pool.

I've only had that sort of issue once and the family tree was huge. And the two sims in question were very distantly related. Like they were cousins but like third or fourth cousins. Plus it wasn't the active house hold I was playing so I just let it go. And I haven't had the problem happen since that one time and that was like two computers ago. So I do agree with the other simmers in that with the large family tree its probably not seeing them as being related anymore.

Is there a mod or something? I really dont want this happening!

Actually .. Master Controller is not a Core Mod. The only Core Mods in Twallan's Suite are ErrorTrap and UntranslatedKey.

I'm guessing this is an issue with EA relationships. If you add the other Mod in his suite the one that starts with a "W" it has a setting to disable near relationship romance.

The Sims counts first cousins as relatives, anything beyond that is not.

And really, for most of history the vast majority of the human race lived their whole lives within 10 miles of where they were born. Finding somebody who wasn't related to you in some way would be pretty difficult.

First cousins can marry with no issue. They are genetically far apart, from a biological standpoint, not to have any more risks of genetic problems than two strangers.

This "incest taboo" has been disproven easily with modern genetic testing.

This really annoys me too. I know it's not exactly against the law to marry like.... first cousins and all that but i don't exactly like that idea because they are still family
