Well i'm on generation 5 in a game and the generation 2 children are all girls but they are all dead now and had children of their own and when i go back to see who their children are.... THEY DON'T HAVE CHILDREN! Even when they were just elders they didn't have children and so clicked on their husbands and the children showed up when i clicked the husband like what??? So annoying!

Oh gosh I just go away and the thread pops up geeze I must have bad timing to go to my Aunts and Uncles.

It all depends on your cusins if they are true bloodline cusins. If I really wanted to I could marry my aunts Cusins because too me they are just as far apart from the family tree. I could also marry my Uncles cusins too because they are not blood related.

I know incest isnt biologically bad. But its morally bad. And the boy taught the girl to ***** **** !

Well, incest is a bad thing. But the problem I'm having in game is the attraction one brother seems to have with his older brother's fiancee! Of course, it doesn't help the situation when she flirts shamelessly with him. Still, he has a moral obligation to his brother NOT to respond. I do wish we had the option to stop them in their tracks. It would make for some interesting game play, and give the player some control over the issue.

Which game are you playing? This doesn't happen in TS3, at least it's not meant to, and I don't recognize "kissing his hands" as an in-game animation. Might this be a TS4 thing?

Many of those posting on this thread from four years ago seemed confused as to what constitutes a "close blood relation" in TS3. As far as the game is concerned, first cousins are close relations. So are great uncles, aunts, nephews/nieces even though they don't get a special family relationship tag in the relationship panel. Second cousins, first cousins once removed, and in-laws are not. Parent-child just does not happen unless something very unexpected is going on in that game save or a mod is being used.

Yes, the ‘kissing hands’ animation indeed indicates they are adressing Sims 4, that animation is in there (and Sims 4 is known for having incest problems; it never happened in my Sims 3 game either).

In the past I have found that at times I found in Sims 3 that if a (living) family gets 'too big' the game will cut off family ties... Anyway... The Sims is playing with life, so... We just need to play with life a bit to turn things around so our sims aren't with sims we don't want them with; unlike real life we don't just have to 'deal with it' :wink: ... Thankfully :lol:

Really? Just curious what the game will consider too big then? Because it never happened to me and there’s a lot of family walking around in my world. I think the family tree can cope because it never shows every family connection at once (you’ll have to click on the icons of the sims in it to see other connections). To me it only happens when I move sims to other worlds and I can repare that now that I have NRaas MC.
