0345783954098542 The game is not at all optimized for modern hardware, but that doesn't mean it can't run well. There are steps you can take to keep the game stable, limiting in-game framerates being the most crucial by far. Certain mods also help a lot.
I can count the number of crashes I've had on one hand in the six years I've had my gaming PC, in large part because I use the mods that make the game more stable and I don't overload my saves past the point that they can function.

Meh, I don't have time and patience to mess up with thousands of mods in order to play a game. Thanks anyway.
0345783954098542 It's more like four to six mods, depending on which expansions you have installed. Everything else is totally optional. Even the "necessary" mods aren't absolutely essential; they just help a lot. And they do their work on their own, without player input, so you install them and you're done.
