Yep, had this issue too and then when I was finally able to install all my store worlds and extra items like the playpen, I'm finding I have to redownload and install them every single time I play which sucks because now my game runs horribly because there are many many multiple copies of everything downloaded. Haven't had this issue until the EA app. Before it, everything was fine.
