I can't get rid of the sculpting station!

I don't know what happened but I have a sculpting station and it is rendered useless and cannot be deleted. There is a huge block of wood on it, and it is an eye sore. :( I recently had to evict, copy the lot to the bin, bulldoze the entire thing and replace because of another glitch that was happening (my teen was stuck doing the "sneaking around" walk all over the house for no reason. It happened when I moved the family back in. I cannot use it, sell it, or delete it. I cannot select it. I can't use the testingcheats delete. I can't get rid of it no matter what! Is there any help out there? The thing is right along the side of the house so it is going to keep me from being able to add on to the house in the future and I just can't have that. Please tell me there is a solution!!

  • @igazor I reset town once a sim week. Is this too often? I always do it just after 3am when I load my save and it only takes a couple of minutes and I like how my game runs smoother afterwards.

I would find the annoyance factor to be high, but once per sim week should be fine if it gives you positive results. After every meal would probably be too disruptive.

My more stubborn, or more poorly designed worlds with minor flaws here and there seem to require every 4 sim weeks rather than 6-8, others can go longer before I even begin to notice any issues or sluggishness in play and delays in loading.

But I actually forgot why I was posting what I did while I was typing. There were concerns expressed that Reset Everything from the MC > Town menu might reset sims' progression or undo career and skill progress, or send things back to they way they were at the very beginning of the game, that kind of thing. That's not what it does. :)
  • Thanks @igazor :) I got concerned when I read your earlier 6-8 week suggestion and tend to worry about things that aren't an issue because I have been doing this for a long, long time and have never encountered any problems because of it.
  • @Mikezumi I do the same thing you do - once a sim week at 3 AM. It usually only takes a minute or two.
