You buy the fixer upper car then call your friend to visit,say hi when they arrive then go watch TV or whatever while they work on your car for you.That thing is like sim catnip they are drawn to it.I like the pudding NPCs that you can ring in apartment lots the unassigned ones with a "." listed as the career when you ask.Example Samantha works as a "." they have no motive decay so they will work on your car a long time when they visit.
EDIT: The wishing well is very cheaty too,just keep wishing for power,each time you get the blue aura and float in the air your phone will ring.Answer it and you get a call about job promotion.Seriously just keep wishing for power,the other outcomes are nothing happens or you get you are your biggest fan moodlet thing and change into random clothes a lot.With luck you can be top of your career before day ends
