Is it possible to do Lifeguard active career in Sunlit Tides?

https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pTNYytPP5G8/X8J3dLB-aYI/AAAAAAAACxw/Fo5x8D0vnf8jZO3UEcQr_cX6DHSQ44YhACLcBGAsYHQ/s1000/12.png

Hi I'm adding a beach lot for Lifeguard career in Sunlit Tides. I have tried once before but NO ONE even visited beach all through the day. So I thought it could be from no space to be drown in the beach at Sunlit Tides. So I'm placing the 64 64 lot and its half includes the ocean. Is there anyone tried this active career without placing a custom beach lot?

Sorry you’re still having problems. Getting the water level exactly right for playing in the ocean can be a pain, but I’ve never had any error issues come from editing terrain. Did you use MOO (the moveobjects on cheat) on your Sim to get him to stand in the water in your first screenshot? I don’t do that, and wouldn’t advise it. I test the depth by sending the Sims into the water in live mode. Have you tried looking at the beachfront lots in Isla Paradiso to get a better idea of the depth and space you’ll need for playing in the ocean? When I’m trying to figure out how to do something myself, I practice on lots that already have that feature so I can learn the techniques and recreate them on my own lots.

The camera/tab function does not work in build/buy mode. You will need to be in live mode and you must press the tab key first. You’ll know you’re in tab mode when the UI disappears and you can move the camera around freely using the keys mentioned in my spoiler. If the quit screen comes up when you press Q, you’re not in tab mode.

I’m not sure what to tell you about the issues with the unselectable Sims; I’ve never had that happen. But it seems you’ve moved on from that save.

Yes, throwing parties and using NRaas Relativity so the days last longer can mean you’ll have more Sims to save, which can help the lifeguard achieve the related LTW faster.

Oh no..I usually don't use move objects cheat for moving the sims. He is my another sim but inactive. I can't control him. I caught the screenshot of him when he was going to swim himself. I appreciate him to enter the water while I was trying to measure the depth.

Ahh...I see the tab key! I didn't do it. I will try this again. I'm in the ocean with the lifeguard sim now. I can start throwing the party now. D

Good to know. When I saw your Sim standing in the water without having changed into swimwear and appearing to be idle is why I questioned that.

Yes, being in tab mode is what allows the camera to move freely, and enables you to view things and take screenshots from a variety of heights and angles. Good luck with your lifeguard.

Now many sims play in the ocean. I'm so happy! :) Even the female plumbot has no legs is playing in the ocean.

  • @Jeansoo – It can be difficult to get the water level just right, but it is very rewarding when you get the hang of it. I’m glad you didn’t give up and kept trying. :) It should get easier each time you do it, now that you know how. Well done!

Great pictures! It’s nice to see the legless Plumbot is having fun too! Another thing I like with the shallow water is that Sims also can take their toddlers into it and help them play in the ocean.

I’m glad you learned how to get your tab camera underwater screenshot too! Congrats! :)

Thanks! I could do it with your lesson. :D I appreciate you. Yeah actually, I have 2 beach lots I created in Bridgeport. The work spawned in the other beach this time yesterday. I was like...whaaaaat..? should I edit the level agaaaain???? But this time, it took only 30 mins to be done. I gained the terrain job experience in the Sims 3. LOL
Yes that's right. I love that toddler interaction. :D After the daddy lifeguard sim went to work, mommy sim brings her toddler to the beach where her husband works. And the daddy still can play with his baby while nobody is drowning in the sea.
