- It is usually fine to use testingcheats to delete an object like that. Although perhaps you could describe a bit better or provide some screenshots of what is meant by a "weird spawned object"? Deleting sims of any kind that way is a big no-no, though.

I used to do that before for Repomen. :o I won't do it again!
What I mean by "weird spawned objects" is like an empty plate that can't be picked up and cleaned so it just stays there, or a white box which is probably a debug object, and so on. I don't have pictures now but usually they're stuff like this.- Object deleting a sim by way of testingcheats only deletes their body. Their sim data remains in the game and can cause issues the next time that sim is called upon to do something. Repo sims are Service Sims and chances are NRaas mods if they are in play are stepping in to correct or expunge the remaining sim data at least sometimes; a repo sim is not likely to have much in the way of history or deep character development. But regardless a new one is going to spawn the next time one is needed anyway, so even deleting them a better way isn't really going to accomplish much long-term.
The white boxes usually pertain to objects that have dependencies that are missing or the objects are not fully installed themselves. - Spycoo163 months agoRising Traveler
igazorI know this is old but I accidentally deleted a sim in a car when I was trying to edit a sims appearance so is that bad should I have not saved my game after doing that ?
zeyneph I know this is a few days late, but it's worth answering anyway for future reference.
If the sim you deleted was a carpool driver, it might not harm your save. If it was a resident, I would absolutely quit without saving. The problem, as described above, doesn't get fixed by the game itself, but sims without much data attached to them are less likely to cause problems.
As always, having NRaas ErrorTrap and Overwatch helps clean up stray data, but the mods don't catch everything. And if you do delete a sim and don't want to quit without saving, a MasterController Total Annihilation, run after the fact, would take care of any issues, provided MC can still find the sim to delete.
Since this thread is several years old now, I'll lock it here.
