Is there a mod to stop this idle animation?
My sims constantly do this idle animation of clapping and cheering. I find it really annoying, and I hope there's a mod to stop it.

Many of those idle animations can be tuned out, some cannot. But just to confirm, you are playing TS3? - If the overabundance of happy idles are specific trait related, this mod might help.

More generally, a good place to look for idle-killing mods is The Naughty Sims Asylum. An account is required and an active login to see much of anything over there, so I'm a bit reluctant to provide links that might not work or that are for mods that might now be outdated (the ensuing discussions should indicate such issues).
