Is there a way to get a permission for band member from higher celebrity sims?

I tried to ask M.Hamming as a band member and he refused that my sim is not as much famous as he is. I don't want to cheat the celebrity level on my sim. I want to see my sim can build the celebrity level while making doing gigs as a band. I'd love to get M.Hamming as a band member without losing his fame. Is there a way to do it? Thanks. :smile:
