Issues Signing In

I tried signing into my game and I kept getting an error that my login had expired or my password was incorrect, so I did change my password (just in case there was a hacker) and I kept receiving the same message. I looked online and was advised to clear the Origin cache. I went through the steps are restarted my computer (as prompted). When I log in to Origin, I am able to do so with ease. However, I run my game and see that I need to log in. I do. I get the prompt that my email or password is incorrect.

I am becoming a little agitated with this entire thing.

To recap

1) I am not able to login to my game
2) I have changed my password
3) I have cleared out the cache from Origin and restarted my computer

Is there any other option out there other my throwing a fit and writing a very nasty letter to E.A. Games which starts "I Am a White Woman" (Please get the movie reference - if you do not know the movie, please ask me).
  • Hello
Are you playing Sims 4? After you have logged into Origin, you should then be able to just press play on Sims 4 , then the game should load.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.
  • It may be best to post in the Sims 3 section on the AHQ EA site
    https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/bd-p/the-sims-3
Or be in contact with EA help
    https://help.ea.com/
  • It is okay! :) There is also a Sims 3 Tech section on these forums.
    The link to that is

I just wanted to help you fix your issues, as I am sorry that you are having issues :( I was hoping that the EA people on the AHQ EA thread or EA Help may have been able to help you with your issue.
  • Yes, we have our own Tech Discussions board for TS3 but I see this thread got moved to TS3 General instead which is okay too.

The best thing to try, if changing the password doesn't help, is to clear your Internet Explorer's cache and cookies, being sure to deselect the option to retain data for Favorites. Even if you never use IE as a browser yourself, and even if on Win 10 and it's hiding on you, IE has to be in there someplace and the game (TS3) uses its resources. This is a very common problem with cookies and the user id/pw combo.

  • Thank you for that. I assumed, erroneously apparently, that Help Center - PC - Technical Issues involved all games and not just the Sims 4. I shall not post in this group again unless it is strictly The Sims 4.
