Killian's "Past life":
Eliza's mother was having problems with her daughter, the girl had no interest in her fiance Sir Tristan. He was a wonderful match for the daughter of a blacksmith and his wife. Tristan had a modest castle with expansive grounds, why Eliza had no interest in him Emma could not even guess, he was a handsome man to boot. Emma went to seek the advise of the village sorceress Juliana, it was rumored Juliana was an evil sorceress but Emma had little choice but to seek her council as she was the only sorceress within the nearest villages.
Emma asked Juliana to look into the future of her daughter and see what would be. Juliana looked into her crystal and told Emma exactly what she did not want to hear...that Eliza was in love with a man in black and not a law abiding man, a pirate.
Emma kept this information to herself, she would not bother her husband Edmund with such bad tidings. Emma messaged Sir Tristan to let him know Eliza would be in the park later that day for a social visit. Emma usually did not mettle in her daughter's life but she had to keep Eliza from meeting any men in black.
Eliza was in the park, she knew Sir Tristan would be there and her mother demanded she give him a chance. Eliza had met him several times before but never felt anything more than friendship for the man, she could not deny he was very handsome but he was nothing special to her. She did decide to humor her mother and give him another chance.
They chatted lightly for over an hour but Eliza just could not force herself to feel anything for the man.
Sir Tristan had a meeting with his father to attend to so he had to leave Eliza, he did love her but felt she did not feel the same about him. He didn't want to force himself on the girl but her mother was insistent that Eliza marry Tristan.
The next day Eliza had wandered down to the water, it was her favorite spot to sit and think. Today there was a majestic sight to be seen, a pirate ship had docked in the shallows, she watched in awe...(yes, that is @CravenLestat 's The Dutchess :smiley: )
Eliza walked down closer to the beach to get a better look, she noticed a pirate, a real live pirate on the deck of the ship. She had read many books of the adventures of pirates in her youth, they were among her favorite stories.
Eliza was wandering around the village later that day, her head full of images of the pirate she had seen on the ship, she couldn't see him close but she suspected she would like to talk to him, a few seconds later she got her wish as she almost bumped into him, her mind was elsewhere and she was not paying attention to where she was walking. Eliza knew instantly he was the pirate she saw on the ship. They slid into easy conversation, he was very charming as all pirates were.
Within hours he was romancing her and she was smitten with him.
Eliza's father Edmund was walking home from work and caught sight of what was going on between his daughter and this man who was not Sir Tristan, a stop needed to be put to this.
Edmund told this strange man that Eliza was promised to Sir Tristan and to be off...
"But father, I do not love Sir Tristan"
"Love has nothing to do with this Eliza, Sir Tristan is a very good match and will be good for the whole family, you must think of your family...
This man is nothing but a pirate from the looks of him, no good will come of your conversing with him." Now you are to come home with me and never see this man again.
Eliza went with her father but knew in her heart she would be seeing her pirate again.
The next day....
Eliza went to the spot she had planned to meet Killian the next day, they had already set up a secret meeting for the next day before her father showed up. Unfortunately Tristan was already there by some cosmic coincidence, he tried to talk to Eliza, she did not want to hear his pleas to her.
He tried another way of reasoning...which backfired completely...
"Tristian, I know you are a good man but I do not love you, I love Killian and want to be with him, he has my heart.."
"Fine Eliza, but this is not over...I will have you in the end, mark my words."
With that he walked away to find Eliza's mother...
A few minutes later Killian came running to her, eager to profess his love for Eliza.
Tristan had found Emma and told her that Eliza had rejected him again. Emma wanted to know where Eliza was he told her down by the water. Emma ran down to the water, and found Eliza and a the man her husband had told her about, he was dressed all in black and sure looked like a bad seed to Emma. The sorceress was correct!! This had to end...Emma had a very bad feeling about this man.
Emma started in on Killian telling him her daughter was promised to a good man and he had better leave right now.
Eliza broke in an yelled at her mother (for the first time in her life) that she loved Killian and she would NOT marry Tristan!
Emma calmed a little and said one word to her daughter...."Fine" it was the scariest word Eliza had ever heard out her mother's mouth, the way she said it was chilling.
After she left Killian comforted Eliza, he uttered the words she had wanted to hear from him..."I love you Eliza"

Right before the purple flash.......
Killian had just stated that he had asked he father for her hand in marriage *a little pirates lie as he had never asked*
When he caught her out of the corner of his eye...saw a flash...
and was thrust in front a strange door which he walked into willingly as if his brain was not his own....
Eliza stood there spellbound, where had Killian gone, he just vanished! there was no one else around....where had he gone???? She stood there for hours wondering...wishing he would come back.
