No problem! I definitely know how you feel. I used to just have an Intel HD Graphics (at least the 3000 is a bit better), simming wasn't so bad, just had to play around with the settings and sacrifice certain details in exchange for others. I even joined modeling competitions on here with it, it at least got the job done :)
I read that link and changed my settings to their recommendations and to be honest with you, I couldn't see a lot of difference. Not sure i gave it much time before I reset to default again.
I've printed it off so I can have a play now I'm not so scared of altering things, at least I know I can hit default if anything untoward happens! :lol:
Oh well it depends on what you changed. I mean for me, I'd increase the sim detail to high since I like taking pictures of my sims up close. Did you restart your game after making the changes? Until then you won't really be able to see much difference. I never really follow the article guide, it's just helpful to know what each detail contributes to the game.
