I really enjoy building big families. The change of pace from a childless couple to (gradually) eight or ten kids and maybe a spouse and grandkid or two is a lot of fun. That said, it's also fun when a bunch of them move out and things calm down a bit. Some of my households get so big that suddenly only having five or six sims can be a big relief. But I never want to move anyone out until they've completed whatever plans I had for them, because I'm not good at switching households and don't use nraas SP. Also, I play on normal lifespan, so the family grows and disperses in a relatively short amount of time.
