I could never play one sim for long. If I start with one, he has a partner within a day!
I used to play larger families when I had a desktop but these days I tend not to go over 10 because I am not sure if my laptop could take it. I find that more than 8 will cause my sims to stand around for longer between actions. I like letting my sims go on high freewill and just sitting back and watching.
