Last name changes after marriage

On City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > SP > Town Options > Romance: Marriage Name

MC can be used to change the surnames of couples one by one who didn't pick up the names you might have wanted them to, and I believe without all the fuss of the sims having to go to City Hall to arrange for it.

@igazor So I did that, and it is set to husband's name. I just got notified of a marriage and it didn't seem to take? Her name is now hyphnated. Am I missing something?

Was it set to husband originally or hyphenated? Maybe not enough time had passed for the change to take hold. Town Options changes have to flow down through to all sims.

I've got mine set to prompt for all marriages and for when babies are born or adopted.That's my chosen setting for those things as I want to choose for any of those situaitons.

@TadOlson omg I didn't know you could get a prompt! How do I set it to prompt me? That would be ideal.

It's under town,sim and caste options to set that up for marriages,same sex marriages and naming newborns.

If you are still getting the hyphenated name then exiting the game and then removing the *cache files, especially the scriptcache.package file might work.

I had a question for @coco I was meaning to ask, how do you get the Prompt to pick the names of people who get married and babies? I searched all through SP but couldn't find anything?
