Some lots give a 'beautiful vista' moodlet to sims who are on them, either outside or in a room with windows. These are set in CAW (or EA dev equivalent) and have nothing to do with how you landscape or what you build you place there.
They are great for legacies because of the moodlet boost. They are also sometimes, although definitely not always, a decent indication of which lots in a town afford the nicest views.
There are lists available for a few of the EA worlds, but no complete list I can find, and certainly not with pictures. So we are trying to find them all :-)
