List of Street Names... a beginning

Smoogie, it is actually a street we rented a Winter rental in what is known as Biddeford Pool up in Maine after our home in Ocean Park in Old Orchard Beach got flooded from Hurricane Helen i think it was. But in Biddeford Poole( which is where all the Southern Maine Lobstermen seem to live and harbor their lobster boats) there is an area known and name Four Corners, the extension off of Four Corners to the Beach is called Four-Corners_ on- the - Bay. In that same area if you cross Four Corners and go in the opposite direction the roads name changes to Four Corners-Old Log- Road which I understand back in the 1800 was indeed and old logging road that went straight into the woods and past the Sawmill (the saw mill though has not existed for at least 70 years though, and the land where it stood has a boat storage and repair, bait shop, and supply building there.)


Rflong there is an area in California in the Los Angelos area where my Aunt used to live where the housing areas are little pockets of similar name - like for instance my aunt used to live in what is known as Birdland district because all the roads have names of birds - there was a Tree district, a flower district, and I don't recall what else, but I always thought it was funny that the Kookiest of my Aunts lived in Birdland on Cuckoo Circle. She now lives back in Sparta, Georgia but I had a lot of laughs of my Kookie Aunt (think Cindy Lauper and you can picture my Aunt Dottie) living appropiately on Cuckoo Circle.
