Mixed up Cc

I was going on a cc binge when i accidently placed some sims 4 custom content from awhile back into my Sims 3 Mods folder . Is there anyway i can find the difference between the two(sims 3 cc and sims 4 cc) so i can delete the sims 4 cc files?

    I can think of 2 ways,

    1) download and run dashboard (it's old so won't recognize them as S4 files but may recognize that they don't work),
    2) get S3PE and try to open the files. If they won't open in S3PE, you'll know they're sims 4 instead of sims 3.

    Edit: I tested this. Dashboard won't run with a sims 4 package in the folder.
