More Than One of the Same Community Lot

Good morning Simmers!

I know how to edit the towns in the Sims 3. Will it cause any technical or routing issues if I was to place ,say, two grocery stores in the same town?
I like the aesthetic of some of the shops from other towns and I want to place them in Sunset Valley along with the already existing, default grocery shop. Will this cause an issue? :/

Put a link if this has already been asked. Thanks!

No, it won't cause any issues to have multiple grocery stores. If one of your Sims happens to work at one, you should see an option to 'transfer' their job to the other one. Of course, it is up to you to decide which store you want them to work at.
  • Quite a few of my larger worlds have multiple community lots, maybe not so much for grocery stores unless the single one keeps overcrowding on me but more so for the full time career lots. My instance of Bridgeport, and a couple of others, is just not happy with only one lot hosting all of the business and journalism related careers. Actually it functions fine, but to me it looks silly to have half the world piled in there during working hours and I prefer that such activity gets spread out more.

And of course many of us have/need multiple schools to better support large populations of children and teens.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer! I'm gonna go plop that new grocery store down. :)
