New forum options, please vote!

MonaSolstraaleMore sims 3 sections would be great! There's a general discussion. Could we get a creative corner and a store section?

I was going to add the new Sims Creative forum link as an option to the original post but can't find a way to edit it? I'm unable to edit the first posts on my old discussions but thought new posts here woud be 'editable'.

Rflong7I feel that same separation. It feels like I'm losing friends. I am wondering why you don't like MTS? If you don't want to say publicly you can message me. :)

KevinL5275Hi! I'm on NRaas and go there regularly. Not sure how they would feel about giving us a 'creative' section? 

I do love the MTS section because it's like our old forum but even better due to the 'agree, disagree, helpful, etc.' buttons on the posts.

In response to your question about Sims3 sections.
SnuffyBucket  and I talked about it today. She moved Creative Corner up above all the special Sims threads to invite all groups to use it.
I quote her: Creative corner is prioritized at the top and general discussions for each game below, newest to oldest. This should allow us to expand each game's board, or to divide the creative corner into the Sims 4 and Sims 3 boards if necessary in the future.

So far we don't have that many members. You can see both sims3 and sims4 stories in a common Story thread.
Personally, I think a lot about what can bring us together right now.
However, I want to point it out. If it is a very big wish, we can split Creative Corner.

A Store section I think is very specifically Sims3 so I will return to SnuffyBucket with that.

Hello Fellow Simmers!

Just thought I would pop through to see what the future forums for the Sims looked like and how it functions. It's not very organized. Hopefully in the near future that will change.

puzzlezaddict - I agree with everything you have said about this being a new site and the potential for future feature developments taking time to implement (if they are even considered for development at all). This is all true.

Although it doesn't matter now, it is my humble opinion something as necessary and important as organizing the site into user-friendly, visually easy to understand sections should have been a part of the initial planning process. It escapes me as to how it wasn't! After all this isn't 'Answers HQ' where the readers already know that the subject of everyone's post is mainly about seeking some sort of game help.

This is supposed to be a multi-topic forum dedicated to our beloved game.

Two forums ago when the Sims 3 was new, that forum had easily identifiable sections. Last forum (since it is now marked as 'read only'), was also sorted by easily identifiable sections. Unfortunately, currently this forum closely resembles the 'sort' folder I keep on my PC to throw random items in until I am able to put them where they belong.

While I wouldn't want people to give up on the hope of having an "official" forum to post on. I do believe it might be in the simmers best interest to begin branching out to other places or developing other means of sharing content. In the meantime, the best suggestion I can think of for those who follow storyline threads on this forum is to make good use of your browser's 'bookmarking' feature. Until this site/forum updates or implements any form of organization, you are going to have to do it yourself.

MonaSolstraaleThank you. I do understand that at the moment there aren't enough members or posts to justify splitting the creative corners. But a few years back sims 3 players fought HARD for a separate Sims 3 creative section on the old forum and finally got it. I don't participate in the sims 4 haters club (lol) but personally don't like the look of it so found it difficult to wade through tons of Sims 4 pics to try and find the Sims 3 content I wanted to see. So getting a Sims 3 only creative corner was such a big deal. :)

Anyway, I've joined the new forum and am hoping for lots of success! Please tell SnuffyBucket her efforts are much appreciated.

Not every request is on the list, but many of them are.  And we have more tags in TS3 and a tech forum, so some progress has been made already.  Please keep posting feedback in the interim.
