No cow in dairy coral?

So I've had the dairy corral for a while now and finally decided to plonk it, except my sim just throws routing tantrums. i googled and it seems there's supposed to be a dairy cow in the enclosure but ones missing from mine

I've tried redownloading and installing from the store
I've debug -> reset object
debug -> fix invisible sims

Nothing is working, i can't get the cow to show up and any interaction is met with routing error

Anyone had same problem? How fix plz?

  • Difficult to see, but it doesn't look like you have very much space around the corral object in that pic. Can you try testing out placement of the object on a lot with fewer things on and around it? The cow should make appearances from inside the enclosure on their own now and then, but they aren't actually a sim. :)
  • Oh! I rotated it on my lot, if I rotate it the cow shows up. Weird!

    Still doesn't look right on such a tiny lot all squished in there, I think I'll save it for a bigger lot :)
  • I wonder if it would work in a basement...eh, poor cow. Let's pretend I didn't suggest that. :/

    I've tried it. In a bunker. It works.
  • Huh, seems that was it. I plonked it down on someone else's farm plot down the road then went back to game and it showed up.

    Well fudge, looks like we need to move to a bigger plot. Too poor atm, we'll stick to the chickens and vegetables for now then.

    Thanks :P

    it was a bit squished in there, unfortunately we live on a tiny plot.

    lol! I might make some kind of giant barn on a bigger lot and try moving it into there then during winter months then put it back outside in spring :P
