No sound in Game..

Don't quite know whats happened but i've lost my sound in game.. well its on for the first few minutes of playing then it just all goes quiet and i hear nothing!

Been trying myself for a couple of days to sort this but i'm giving in and admitting defeat!

Deleted all the cache files. Updated my sound drivers. triple checked all settings in game.

I did encounter the game losing sound for a while, it turned out it was my headset who had a bad audio cable. It lost the connection for a second or so and then the sound returned to the headset, but the game stayed silent and the sound did not return until I restarted the game.

Not sure if this could be the problem.
  • In case this turns out to not be a headset or speaker cable issue, you may want to bring this and a full dxdiag report to the attention of our friends at EA's Answers.HQ. There could potentially be some sort of conflict with your sound device, its drivers, a recent Windows update, and/or your postal code (or something like that) and they have systems experts there who might be able to identify such an issue.

  • Thanks guys for the replies.

It actually seems to be back working, no idea whats going on, i'm sure its something to do with drivers, i updated a few non sounds ones the other night and it seems to have done something!

Good to know about Answers HQ tho i'll go have a look over there.

Just another reason to add to the list of why i don't like windows 10! :D
