Nraas Mods: My little review on them and how they've helped my gameplay.

I use traffic to get rid of the "empty" taxis that circle around the city, reducing less lag.
I use tempest to set the temperatures for my game.

As for no fridge shopping, definitely makes it a bit "challenging" when you go to cook a meal and realize you have no food in your fridge.
I would definitely hold off on this until your sim knows some recipes.
