Nraas question about annihilate and kill a sim

I'm trying to kill a sim using nraas master controler, but it's not working. When i click a sim, and later nraas followed by advance settings, it gives me the option to annihilate the sim (which is working fine) and kill the sim. Both ask me if i'm sure i want to do that, i answer yes, but only annihilate works...
What should i do, or what am i doing wrong?

(I want to use kill instead of annihilate because i want to see his ghost)
