@MiaSkywalker Than you.
I tried playing with the caste system. In the end I decided it was easier to just let my sims do whatever they want. I have hundreds of sims in my Big Game. At least 300 and the number is growing.
I haven't attempted the Arranged Marriages option but since I've already discovered they won't stay married once I leave them alone to play a different household I don't have any hopes at all that reserving them for an Arranged Marriage will stop them from divorcing as soon as I leave them to go and play with a different family. Almost all, and probably all, of the game setup marriages are stable and I'm not finding them constantly swapping partners. They just seem to like finding their own partners for the most part. I've decided I'm happy to leave it up to them. Sometimes I'll encourage a relationship by moving an unmarried pair in together. I recently got 4 messages within seconds of each other, saying 4 of my couples that I put together like this have decided to get married. Each message told me of a different couple who had decided to tie the knot. Some of them had a few children together already and others were just happy being a couple.
A while back I went looking for a sim who was unattached and living alone in the Fairy Village in Barnacle Bay. When I found her house there was a toddler sitting under the letterbox. He was a fairy. On inspection of his family tree I found my single fairy had managed to have a relationship with another single fairy living in the village and they'd produced this toddler. So I moved all three of them in together. They seem happy.
When it's all said and done, I'm happy with the way things are. I don't want to be bothered with setting up complicated castes and things to force a pair of sims to stay together.
The Sim who kept running off with elders has stuck to her toy boy ever since she aged up to Adult and he was just a new YA. She also stuck with her elder once I gave up on her and let her do whatever she wanted. They stayed together until he eventually died of old age. Then she aged up to Adult and found herself a YA to pair up with.She's got a bunch of toddlers and other children now with a few different fathers and they are all going to add to the diversity of the next generation. Especially since I had that mod in that was turning the human toddlers to fairies while she was producing her toddlers.
