old sim games

I have a new no disk computer, so I can't play sims 2 or 3 on my computer.
1st question as I have bought them new, when they came out, is there a way I can download them without having to pay again??
2nd question, if I take my old sim games to a gaming shop that sell second hand games. will others be able to play them on their computer obviously if they have a disk playing computer??

Thank you for any help. happy simming
  • Hello
If you registered the Sims 2 and Sims 3 games to Ea when you installed the game, then they will be in your games library when you log in to origin. They need to have been registered to the same origin account as what you have used when registering sims 4, for them to appear when you log in to play Sims 4. You can then download /install them to your computer
If you didn’t register them but still have the product codes, you can log in to origin and register them now. They will be added to your games library.
Only you can play the games. Product codes can only be used once to register the game to an origin account.

ok I have put in all my codes, some said they were already registered. but I have never had them come up on my library to download. the only one that it wouldn't register is my Hidden springs. any idea why. it just kept saying the code was invalid. no matter how I typed it.

If you bought the world through the sims 3 store, you can log into the Sims 3 My Pages , go to your store purchases page and download it through the sims 3 launcher.
  • It may be best to be in touch with EA Help. They may be able to help you.

You have the product codes so it would be good to tell them these and they may be able to work through what is the cause of your issues.
I can remember that there was an issue with some packs not registering due to where they were bought.
  • I agree that only EA customer support can help with codes not working and Origin account issues.

But the original post about not having a built-in CD/DVD drive -- this is very common on newer computers now, especially laptops. External optical disc drives are available and they do not cost very much, in case one would be helpful for other purposes.

  • I tried that to, Thank you rosemow, but it still isn't accepting some of my codes, my Hidden springs and world adventure. it says these codes have already been entered, yet when I go to my library of waiting to see what is still needed to be downloaded, these games are only available to buy. amongst my others waiting to be downloaded. pets and seasons are also buy now, yet I have them and again the codes aren't being recognized or it says already claimed.
