Greetings to all Sims 3 Simmers! I have not hosted a game in a few years and I am hoping that this one might be fun and simple and not involve hours upon hours of work for me. Wish me luck? ;) ...

I just wanted to say a few words about the closing of this thread. Let me get all 'real talk' here on you guys for a second.
It's hard for me to explain exactly what this forum, and a large part of that is this thread, has meant to me. When I first joined here I was lost (both technologically speaking and in terms of social atmosphere) and totally out of my element. I had never really typed or talked to people on a forum before and I wasn't sure what to expect. Over a few days (Yes, that quickly!) more and more people started to introduce themselves to me and go out of their way to be kind. It was a little overwhelming at first because I wasn't sure how to respond back - especially when people started sending my Sims random items o_O. I wasn't sure what was expected of me here: but thanks to the very special soul who created this lottery I finally figured it out. You guys don't want anything. You're just happy that I bungled my way in here and decided to stay. You can't know what a relief it is to just be wanted for no other reason then "you seem nice". *laughs*!
After I started to find my own niche here, I started to spend more and more time on THIS particular thread because I felt your excitement every day as the draw happened and the enthusiasm was contagious! When Reach let me be a part of the 'administration' side of things I was so elated to be able to give something back to this wonderful community that has accepted me and given me so much. It makes me feel a little melancholy that this thread is closing but only in the bittersweet sense. I haven't been a part of this community very long but I already have so many good memories here! While the thread closing and this particular lottery ending IS a poignant moment, I can't help but be excited for the new things that will come with this chapters closing. I think it's fitting that the lottery ends in Autumn, the death of something beautiful to bring about new life and opportunities.
Everyone here is special to me: from the sponsors who made it part of their JOB to farm for points to give away prizes, to the people who came anxiously and hopefully to cheer and celebrate every draw and prize that happened! I got to meet and become close to several of the sponsors, to my internment co-host @SjappielovePaul and to several people who just wanted to see this lottery succeed because they liked what it brought to the forums. You are all wonderful people and I can't wait to start on a new adventure with you!
Thank you for letting me help out with your thread Reach. I got more then the chance to help give something back to return your kindness: I got a friend which is worth more then anything in the whole world. <3
