[Origin Version] UI Missing in Strangetown + Intense Lagging in Tokyosou

I'm posting two problems since I don't want to double-post threads, but since I finally figured out my password, I'm back! Whoopee!
So I tried to play Strangetown, but it has a missing UI when loaded up. For example, the general Sim UI is there, but it shows no simoleans, moodlets, Sim portraits, or mood itself. It's just blank, and you cannot select anything.

The next world I'm struggling with is Tokyosou, I made a comment on it, but since the thread was previously inactive, I figured I'd ask here. For example, it loads for a good few minutes in suburbs and rural areas, but if you attempt to load any scene involving the city, even in the distance, it'll lag harshly, and sometimes even crash. Does anyone know how to stagger or stop that? Thank you!

  • The first issue you mention is a common symptom of severe corruption: the game isn't able to load all the save data and instead loads an empty house. The only thing you can really do is revert to a backup save.

For the second, this could be a performance issue due to the world or to your computer. How much RAM is the game using while you're playing in the world? You can put the game into windowed mode and check in the Task Manager. What hardware does your computer have—processor, graphics card, RAM, free and total storage—and if you have a discrete GPU, have you taken steps to manually limit the in-game framerates? That's not all of the possibilities, but it's where to start.

For question one, it's upon loading the world itself, so earlier saves don't exist
For question two, I have 16GB of ram. Because Sims 3 can only use 2GB of ram, it usually sits at 1.5GB on most worlds and loading worlds, but due to Tokyosou having a lot of hidden spawners, several unnecessary townies, etc, the OP actually did a lot to help fix certain issues and is working on their off time (and days when they aren't sick, I hope they're alright) in order to fix the high ram usage of the world!
  • Sims 3 has been Large-Address Aware since 2010 and can therefore use up to ~3.7 GB RAM, as in, 4 GB minus some overhead. If the save is using less than 2 GB when you first load it, then that's obviously not the issue. And 1.5 GB memory use is perfectly reasonable for a new save that uses most or all expansions.

Do you have all the expansions installed that these worlds use? Is there any other recommended content that comes with the worlds and that you don't have installed?

I have every expansion and every stuff pack it requires, as well as the store content
It's apparently the hidden spawners, though!
