Pets given up for adoption remain in relationship bar forever

Did anyone encounter this bug/feature? Before I began using NRAAS mods, due to the unloved "neighborhood pet adoption service", most of my families ended up with a lot of unwanted pets in their houses, and had to give them up for adoption. After the pets got taken away, I realized that they stay in my sims' relationship bar forever, as greyed-out, un-interactable relations, and just take up space (and probably memory). Anyone got a solution for this?

I wouldn't say this is a bug. You don't stop ever having known someone just because you gave them up for adoption. The greyed-out part is because the other sim is not present in your currently being played world.

But if you want to zap anyone off the panel, install the NRaas RelationshipPanel mod (if you don't already have it) and a ctrl+click on their thumbnail in the panel should do the trick.
