Pin-Up Modeling Cycle 1: Finale scores POSTED! Winner announced!

Welcome to Pin-Up modeling! A semi-short adventure into the vintage world of Pin-Up!

As far as I know, I’ve only seen 1 other comp like this on this forum and since I’m feeling better I would like to do a comp like this myself.

This will be strictly a fashion competition consisting of editorial and fashion photography.

They will be 7 assignments! Most of these assignments will be taking their cues from the iconic looks of pin-ups, but you will be given a theme. These themes will be pretty simple, so don’t worry your pretty little head. Just be creative and bring your eye for fashion. If you can pull off these themes while still maintaining the pin-up look, you should be A-Okay! So get ready to pose and strut your stuff for Pin-Up Modeling!

Note: If this become super popular, I will do another cycle directly following this one.

-No fighting! Be nice! Please direct your complaints to the complaint center a.k.a me! *sigh*
-Be creativity! No copying!
-Editing is allowed, but not required! (Ex: Pose combining, drawing of any kind, etc.)
-Poses and CC are definitely allowed, but not required!
-No photo-skinning
-Extensions are granted if asked a day/24 hours before the due date
-Extensions are only granted to those who ask
-Extensions are 2 days at less special circumstances
-Due dates will follow Pacific Standard Time, but I'm flexible.
-Points will be deducted if you're late without an extension
-Photos that are too edgy or include nudity, pm me it or link it.
-More importantly....have fun!

Requirements- Did you do everything that was required?
Creativity- Is it too plain? Lacking something? Does it stand out? Is it a creative take on the theme?
Styling- Is she Pin-Up approve? Does her appearance fit the theme/assignment? Is her posing on point? Does she look fashionable or tacky?
Quality- Clipping? Wonkiness? Poor lighting?

Same, this is reaaaaally tempting but I'm just so busy and I'd hate to waste your time. >_< I might be able to do judging though.....Let me think so more on it and I'll be back. xD

How long are assignments and when do you think this will start?

How long are assignments and when do you think this will start?

Assignments usually last a week with maybe a day or two thrown in if it's near the weekend. But this will probably start at the beginning of October if not sooner.

Thank you Vid and Vana! I hit randomize when I created her (about last year) for a challenge and her name came out beautifully. I decided to use her since A) She was created as a medieval princess... and 2) She looks good in almost anything... :D Can't wait to see everybody else's entries!

Announcement: *clears throat* Ok sign-ups will officially close on October 5th and the assignment will be due on the 10th. Models too. If you're reserved, I might ask you to check in before that though. If everyone gets everything in sooner than that, then this will start early. I think that's plenty of time. Maybe too much. Aha. I do need 10 models at the least for this to even happen. At least 7 at the very least.

I also forgot to mention this competition will have eliminations. I don't usually do eliminations on the first assignment as I like people to get a feel of what the comp is going be like and how judging goes, so don't sweat this assignment too much. ;)

The assignment section has been updated to reflect this. I'm not expecting anyone to ask me for an extension, but we'll see.

Hmmm...I think that's it. Feel free to ask me questions. I don't mind.
