Pertaining to The Sims 3 Imaginary Friends, do you prefer to make them real through the Potion or Rainbow Gem?

So I turned him into this (human-shape; pre-sim-transformation state) still a doll but takes the shape of a human.

I think he looks a lot better than his doll form.
And then after Allison finally transforms him with a potion.
