Potion or Rainbow Gem

Pertaining to The Sims 3 Imaginary Friends, do you prefer to make them real through the Potion or Rainbow Gem?

I used the rainbow gem both times I turned an IF into a human. In both cases the child's mom was an adventurer so they'd found a few of them.
