Reinstalling Sims 3 and backups
Seven years ago I got a new pc and made backups of my Sims 3 Saves, Saved Sims, store items, worlds I purchased from the store, etc. I was able to transfer all of my stuff over to the new PC.
Yesterday I accidentally uninstalled Sims 3 from my PC (I thought I’d clicked on Sims 2!). I reinstalled all of the expansions and stuff packs through Origin, but I need to transfer the backups I have. However, I can’t remember how I did it! I pasted all my saved files into the Sims 3 folder but it didn’t work. None of my sims, houses, worlds, or store items are showing up in game. What did I do wrong? I think I missed a step somewhere…
Edit: it’s fixed! I had to delete the original Sins 3 folder and replace it with my backup folder. All of my stuff is there now!
