Hi everyone!I am having an issue with my Sims resort.There is about a 10 x 10 area of flat beach space behind the resorts main building with the front desk. My Sims husband was working on some improvements around the resort with upgrading the toilets. So I wanted my Sim to do some sunbathing, but no matter where I clicked in the 10 x 10 area, it kept saying "there is no flat spot nearby to place a beach towel"What the heck is with that?I've been having so many problems with my game freezing while at the resort, and now this, I am just ready to scream!Anyone know how to fix this issue?

You need to go into build mode and flatten the lot with the terrain tools.

I have the exact same problem, at Hobarts Hideaway. I've flatten the ground down on the whole lot except the beach, so there's plenty of space to relax on. But it just keeps freezin for a while, then I get that message and my sims can't relax there.

Same issue here, been reading this thread to see if anyone had a solution.Weird thing, I have a small beach lot, 30x30 and part of it is in the water. The flat areas is smaller than on the resort lots and my sims can relax on the beach. I don't get it.

You need to go into build mode and flatten the lot with the terrain tools.

It does work and until a modder comes up with a fix it's the only way.

Same issue here, been reading this thread to see if anyone had a solution.

At my resort the Sims spread their towels out on the grass right next to the side of the main building instead of on the sand by the beach. It looks ridiculous. :mrgreen:

At least now I know why, so thanks for posting!

It's probably one of the most under-used actions that I bother myself with, I mean it's cool but they never lay down where I'd like them to...they should have allowed us to place them as an object. :?

I just finished a motel on a 30x30 lot and sims will relax on the small areas all around this lot, but not on my large, beach, resort lot.

This is so frustrating. Grrr!

I have this problem also. Leveled a huge area and moved all objects or trees and my sim still won't relax there. Annoying.
