Remade all of the Pleasantview families in TS3!

*How to use Pleasantview sims:
-Download the recreated Pleasantview world that I used and install it into your game.
-Download the saved file from my dropbox as a .zip file (or directly to your own dropbox, if you have one!)
-Right click the .zip file and extract it to "Pleasantview.sims3"
-Move the Pleasantview.sims3 folder into My Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Saves
-Fire up your game and select the Pleasantview save from the main menu!
-Wa-la! Everything is included in the save minus the town itself. All sims, appropriate homes, life stages, relationships, etc.

Note: Your folder might include a bizarre empty copy of itself within it after you extract it. lol So if you open the Pleasantview.sims3 folder and there's an empty Pleasantview.sims3 folder in there - you can safely delete it. It isn't needed. I'm not sure if it'll cause any issues or not (or why it's there lol), but better safe than sorry, eh?

It came empty. I could either download other player created version...or do the much more fun thing of making them myself! So I did just that! Hope you like them! Let me know if they're worth uploading. :) (That being the entire town's save file with the relationships, jobs, skills, etc in tact)

(Lifespan is set at normal, with all stages at max number of days but baby, which is at 3 days)

I decided to play around with CAW...

For this being my first attempt at a world, I must say...the Bluewater Village I'm making seems to be coming along splendidly!

Going to page CAW Master @Rflong7 ...how should I go about the whole routing thing? And is there a way to place trees, signs, etc on non-lot areas to add more decoration in edit mode? I find that a tad hard to do in the normal CAW mode, but creating the rest of my lots has been very doable in that edit mode. Would be awesome if I could do the placing of trees and stop signs in that mode as well!

Wonderful! CAW is such fun especially if it's just for yourself and what you want. :mrgreen:

Lol~ Thanks for that Master thing. Makes me smile. XD

Anyway, routing depends on the areas and how big you're making your world. First, I would read the Tutorial Maxis made- it's on the same page as CAW download plus there's a another that helps with doing your first. The tutorial is great about Routing. :)

If you have specific questions (I could overload you with info that could really confuse you) then don't be afraid to ask in the CAW section, lots of helpful and friendly people there. :)

I wouldn't place any trees or plants on the map in EIG. The World editor in game doesn't sink the trees and they look weird. I do suggest going slow when placing trees and bushes in CAW. If you click too fast you can put two or three trees in one place. Also, zoom in closer and then it won't feel like it's so much. You don't have to make a dense forest, just some good spaced trees. - check the trees from ground level as if you're playing the game- we don't see it as much from map view. :)

Stop signs are in CAW, not EIG- sorry. Just move your view closer and move slowly... enjoy building your world. :)

I think I already went a little spastic with my trees o.o I'll keep your advice in mind for placing the rest, though! Thank you! I have been enjoying it but man does it take some time! Already spent a good 6+ hours on it after making the other one too small! May have bit off more than I can chew! But it's still been fun!

That's not too long, really.. It took me 8 months to finish Beach City. :lol:

It should take you a couple days with testing in game and checking all the little details. But it shouldn't worry you if you're having fun and know you'll get to play it for as long as you want when you're done.

Oh, yes- trees can sometimes take over and Poof! The land is covered. :lol:

Thankfully, Bluewater Village isn't collosal. I have to hand it to you and other original world creators, though. I would be all kinds of lost trying to make an original world and not a remake! Lol

Oh, you're making it but it's Bluewater remake of TS2? Cool! I never played them much, just a few like Malcolm Landgraab. :)

Yep! I'm adding a few things to it that weren't in the TS2 town, though. The necessities like City Hall and such, but otherwise trying to keep it as close to the original as my ability allows. lol Remaking some of the houses has been hard. Sometimes the in-game edit mode lags up a storm in build mode :( Made Florence Delarosa last night and made the Jacquet family. (Had to step away from making the world for my own sanity for a sec! Ha!).

When I get it mostly done, would you mind if I shared it with you and you took a look at it? Let me know if anything appears to need fixing?
