I'm so sorry you lost your old save. Back when I first started playing TS3, I lost a handful of saves to game corruption in a short period of time, and it was brutal. I felt so awful that if I hadn't come across NRaas, I'd probably have quit playing TS3 for a while, or maybe for good. I can only imagine how gut-wrenching it must have been to realize you'd lost sims with whom you'd spent over a year.
I'm glad to see that you're still enjoying the game, though. Starting a brand-new save can be so much fun, especially when things start to fall into place for your sim. From the thought bubbles, it seems like you're not the only one who thinks that guy is a catch—your sim was dreaming of wedding rings after their first night together, and before she even found out that he'd done the laundry.
