Here's Marianne with a human skin color and a different hairstyle. Is this color ok? Let me know what hairstyle you like better.

And Bog after he's been to the Bahamas (hehe). Is this more what you had in mind? I also enlarged his eyes a bit. Do you like his eyes in the first pic I posted or in this one?
