Sexual orientation options?

I don't use free will. They do whatever I tell them to do so my stright sims are stright, gay ones are gay, and bi ones are bi. Also once you get them in a relationship they will follow your lead.

I wouldn't mind having this option in CAS.

But I'd like for my sim's sexual orientation to be random when they're born in game. Or have them naturally attracted to certain sims. (like with the lightning bolts in Sims2)

Wish the astrological signs played more of a role in their love life too :(

i seem to have more gay sims then thats not and i have it on free will one of my sims wanted to get married but i choose her not too so i end up playing some 1 els and i came back back to her now she has a girlfriend im like wth lol they seem to have a brain

These things tend to be left alone by EA though. I don't know why. Sexual orientation just seems taboo. I suppose they made it "possible" for same sex relationships to occur, though the fact that it doesn't happen "naturally" is a bit politically incorrect.

Well it probably doesn't happen "naturally" in game because people are still arguing over whether or not it's "natural" in real life. sorry if this post sounds like a douche, I don't mean it that way. Also, I feel that alot of older players (and parents of younger players) would probably be uncomfortable with this. Also, it would really annoy some people.

I thik that EA makes up for the lack of natural homosexuality by allowing us to MAKE them partner with same sex. Sims may not flirt with the same sex automatically, but niether will they shun same sex romanticly.

Besides, they allow "adoption". I think that option was made specifically for homosexuals sims.

That makes since I suppose. But I think it's more likely they would make adoption for those who are single. Elders might have a small lifespan and whatif they have a child and die? Does anyone know what happens?

Well, my reasoning for this was because it seems (at least in my experiences)
that Sims by default are bi. So I find it irritating when I'm playing another household and I see my other original Sims flirting with someone of the same sex and beginning a relationship when my plans were for them to be straight. Or my gay/lesbian Sims flirting with those of the opposite sex when I'm not playing them...that's especially irritating.

I think it's too much trouble and contraversey for something that's not really much of a problem in the first place. I have nothing against any kind sexual orientation, but I think there are a lot of people who do and making this a feature in the game would probably only cause more problems than solve any.

Really? I mean I think they already allow Sims to be gay. This would just make it a little easier for those who want to make sure no unwanted relationships begin.

But I do see your point. Someone, somewhere will make a fuss.
