- CororonRising TravelerAmbitions, if you like realism. I bought Into the Future when it came out but I haven't had any sims travel into the future yet, and don't plan to.
- NikkeiSimmerSeasoned AdventurerNo contest: Ambitions. :D It expands the number of careers that you can have, including fleshing out self-employment in a way that you're making money off gardening, fishing and other tasks that originally weren't careers and raising your career levels everytime you sell stuff.
And of course...you get det-packs along with the new Inventing Skill...that's featured in Ambitions...which means that you can blow up every day items to get more scrap to invent with. Of course the Police Department and City Hall doesn't like that very much and you can get fined for doing that. :D Stick to detonating the garbage dump. :D

Just remember, you can get singed blowing things up. :D - quixotictigerNew SpectatorPersonally, I prefer Ambitions. The sculpting skill, inventing skill, item consignment, Twinbrook world, new professions and self-employed careers are some of the things I most enjoy about this EP. I’d have a hard time playing without it since I use a lot of the content in every save.
While I like ITF, it’s more of a specialized/niche EP with the Plumbots, future tech items and furnishings, so I don’t use the content as often. - I would recommend Ambitions. It has a lot of fun features such as detonating (blowing up objects throughout town is an amazingly fun activity >:) ), inventing, trampolines, a bunch of cute decor, washer and dryer (unless you already have town life) and of course the careers.
And Twinbrook!! I only recently played the world even though I’ve owned the EP for many years and I have to say Twinbrook has some amazing scenery.

It has a lot of pretty lots as well, like the cemetery:

I don’t own ITF because I’m really not interested enough in it except for the jet packs. Because then I could have jet pack fairies in my game and that would be awesome. :p - Ambitions for sure! Into the Future is a good EP as well, if you like futuristic furniture and all around futuristic gameplay. But Ambitions allows you to have active careers, adds a good amount of Build/Buy mode items and it's an all around improved career system than the base game.
- To me thats a hard one, those two go well together. You can invent a time machine in Ambitions, and you can actually use that to go to the future if you have Into The Future.
You can make Simbots as an inventor, and have your next generation be the founder of Plumbotics.
I think, if I was planning on getting both, I would get Ambitions first, if I may only ever buy the one expansion I would have to pick Into The Future though. - MidnightAura86New SpectatorI would buy ambitions first.
- Yeah, Ambitions for sure! You get a town so it’s a win win!
- I wouldn't just buy one of them and I've got both installed and would advise buying both and just install one at a time and test for a few days before installing the other if the first one works.
- I myself prefer Ambitions.
